Who we are

This website is operated by Briar Harvey LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), trading as Briar Harvey. Our website address is https://briarharvey.com.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data openly and honestly. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We’ve written it in plain language on purpose—if anything here is unclear, please get in touch.

You can contact us:

  • By email: team@briarharvey.com
  • By post: 3084 S. 40th St., Omaha, NE 68105

The information we collect and why

We only collect information we actually need to run our business and serve you. Here’s what that looks like in practice.

When you join our email list

If you sign up for our newsletter, a freebie, a waitlist, or any other opt-in, we collect the name and email address you give us, along with the date you subscribed and which form you used. We use this to send you the emails, resources, and offers you signed up for, and to understand which content is useful. Your information is stored and processed by our email marketing platform, MailerLite, on our behalf.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, and we’ll stop sending you marketing messages.

When you buy something from us

When you purchase a product or service, we collect the information needed to process your order and deliver what you bought—typically your name, email address, billing details, and the details of your purchase.

Our checkout and order processing are handled by ThriveCart, and payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number—payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe under their own security standards. We keep records of your purchases as needed to fulfill your order, provide support, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.

When you visit our website

Like most websites, we collect some information automatically to understand how our site is used and to improve it. This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at our site. We collect this through analytics and advertising tools, which may include Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. These tools use cookies and similar technologies (see below) and may set their own cookies to measure and improve advertising.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them to make the site work properly, to remember your preferences, and—where you consent—to measure traffic and improve our marketing.

Broadly, the cookies on our site fall into these categories:

  • Essential cookies, which are needed for the site to function.
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
  • Marketing/advertising cookies, set by tools like Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which help us measure and target advertising.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and where required we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. Turning off some cookies may affect how the site works for you.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it to do their job. These include:

  • ThriveCart — checkout and order management
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • MailerLite — email delivery and list management
  • Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel — website analytics and advertising measurement

Each of these providers processes your data under their own privacy policies and data protection commitments. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

International data transfers

We are based in the United States and some of our service providers are located in the United States or other countries. If you are visiting from the UK, the EU, or elsewhere, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country with different data protection laws than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable law.

How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy—for example, for as long as you are subscribed to our list, and for as long as we’re required to keep purchase and financial records for legal and accounting reasons. When we no longer need your data, we delete or anonymize it.

Your rights over your data

Depending on where you live, you have rights over the personal data we hold about you. Under the GDPR and similar laws, these include the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erase your data (“the right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data
  • Portability—receive your data in a usable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on your consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at team@briarharvey.com and we’ll respond within the timeframe required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

How we protect your data

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to keep your personal data secure and to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our payment processing is handled by Stripe using industry-standard security, and we limit access to personal data to those who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if a data breach ever occurs.

Children’s privacy

Our website and offers are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Use of information and disclaimer

The content on this website is provided for general information and educational purposes only. While we aim to keep it accurate and up to date, we make no guarantees about its completeness or suitability for your particular circumstances, and nothing here constitutes professional, legal, or financial advice. Any action you take based on the information on this site is at your own risk, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website or its content.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
